The debate on this issue is currently stuck on the decision of whether to tunnel or stay above ground in terms of linking MetroRail to Dulles. While tunneling is more expensive, I can't realistically see any use for an above ground link. It would not only be an eye sore but also would not be logical. A scary word to use in politics...logical.  Therefore, my opinion is, build it underground or not at all.
